The Doobie Brothers are the 70s pop rock band that you’ve 100% heard before but probably didn’t realize you were bopping along to. Known for their blending of multiple genres and harrowing harmonies, the rockers from San Jose have been tearing up the music scene for the last five decades straight. The group consists of Tom Johnston, Patrick Simmons, Michael McDonald, and John McFee, and they have parlayed with genres like folk, R&B, garage rock, pop, and country. And their chameleon-like approach to their fourteen album discography has worked. They have been on the Billboard top 200 albums six times, and their 1978 release Minute by Minute staying at number 1 for 5 weeks straight. Their records have also gone diamond with over 10 million album sales on The Best of the Doobies, and they were inducted into the Vocal Group Hall of Fame back in 2004, and recently the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame just in 2020. The Doobie Brothers are synonymous with rock and roll, and are a true testament to just how much harmony you can have in one song. The Blossom Center is always a rocking time when they perform, so you want to make sure to catch this concert no doubt.
Added to the lineup is The Coral Reefer Band, the touring band of the late tropical rock legend Jimmy Buffet. Though Jimmy passed away back in 2023, the group lives on and is still rocking out stages on all the tours they can. They perform his music and always bring tears to the eyes of die-hard Buffett fans, so you’re gong to want to make sure to not miss the openers this time around. Scotty Emerick is now on lead vocals, but the spirit of Jimmy lives on long and strong.
This show is sure to be nostalgic, memorable, and filled with so much love. Frankly we’re really excited for it, and tickets are selling out fast! Get yours now, we can’t wait to welcome you to The Blossom Center.
