Award-winning musician Ne-Yo announced his Champagne and Roses Tour 2023, featuring special guests Robin Thicke and Mario. The 15-city tour, organized by Live Nation, begins on September 9 at Detroit's Michigan Lottery Amphitheatre at Freedom Hill and stops in Philadelphia, Atlanta, Houston, and other cities before concluding on October 4 in Mountain View at Shoreline Amphitheatre.
Ne-Yo has shown that his writing ability is just as strong as his skills in the studio and on stage. The recording artist for Motown Records and Compound Entertainment has amassed a number of songs, including "Sexy Love," "Closer," "Because of You," and "Miss Independent." In 2022, Ne-Yo released Self-Explanatory, an album that critics deemed as the “most biographical album” out of all his records.
“On his latest, eighth album, he showcases that still-distinctive voice. Across 13 tracks he meanders from spoken-register entreaties on Layin’ Low to melismatic runs on Don’t Love Me and breezy falsetto on Want It All or Nothing,” the Guardian shares.
Robin Thicke is an American singer-songwriter, producer, actor, who is signed to Pharell Williams’ Star Trak record company. His debut record, titled "A Beautiful World," released back in 2003. He is mostly known globally for his 2013 hit single "Blurred Lines" which is still one of the best-selling singles to date.
Mario Dewar Barrett, also known by his stage name, Mario was born and raised in Baltimore. At the age of fourteen, he was successful in securing a record deal with J Records. From there, his self-titled debut album was published in 2002 which included the top 10 single, "Just a Friend 2002." The pop singer is best known for his chart-topping hits “Let Me Love You” and “How Do I Breathe.”
The concert will be taking place in the Blossom Music Center, a venue designed for serious listening, unlike many open-air halls. No columns can obstruct sightlines inside the slanted pavilion, and unique amplification on the grass reaches even the farthest corners of the grounds.
If you’re looking for a more engaging concert experience, VIP packages will be available which include exclusive meet and greet sessions as well as an opportunity to take photos with your favorite artists.
