It’s anticipated to be the heaviest tour of summer! Not just because they’ve got some uber powerful heavy grooves in store, it’s due to the gargantuan title of this 90s metal legend. Pantera comes bearing shows this season and it brings members singer Phil Anselmo and bassist Rex Brown. The late, great guitarist Dimebag Darrell and drummer Vinnie Paul may no longer be around to join in on the fun but the band brought in the mindblowing talents of legendary guitarist Zakk Wylde and critically regarded drummer Charlie Benante. Wylde has had great success leading his band Black Label Society, but also became a monumental axeman for the likes of Ozzy Osbourne. He has lent his chops to Pantera since their reunion 2022. Same goes with Charlie Benante, who had famously performed drums for Anthrax since 1983. His powerful drumming goe well with Pantera’s no holds barred type of groove metal. It’s straightforward, raw, and totally ready to wreak havoc!
If you think that’s awesome, wait til you learn that this gig features an equally kick ass support act. Amon Amarth from Sweden will bring their version of melodic death metal into this neck breaking extravganaza. The band is just one of the few performers that are in store for this “heaviest show of the tour” spectacle. So be ready for some more surprises!
See Pantera ignite the stage with earth shattering hits like “Walk,” “Cowboys from Hell,” “5 Minutes Alone,” “Domination,” “Fucking Hostile,” and tons more. The Blossom Music Center is the perfect destination to host such debauchery. The venue has ample space to let fans bust out go bonkers from the band’s intensity. So go ahead and bang your head ‘til kingdom come. It’s the mighty Pantera after all!
The band became the authority in the metal circuit upon releasing Cowboys From Hell. The band dropped their glam metal sound to focus on powerful groove driven riifs. Pantera’s 90’s line up comprising Phil Anselmo, Dimebag Darrell, and Rex Brown, and Vinnie Paul became their most iconic. Cowboys from Hell became their career defining work and brought the band into the Billboard charts. The band went on to release Vulgar Display of Power in 1992, and Far Beyond Driven, their first album to top the Billboard and Rock charts, in 1994. In 1996, the iconic line up of Pantera would release their last album together, The Great Southern Trendkill.
