This 2023, Lil Durk is supporting his upcoming album, Almost Healed. The record, set for release this spring, has already been preceded by Durk’s highest charting hit, “All My Life.” The single, which featured fellow critically-acclaimed rapper, J. Cole, peaked at number 2 on the Billboard Hot 100 and topped the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs and Hot Rap Songs chart. The song provides listeners with a positive message. A melodic chorus accompanies Durk’s striking lyrics about his personal hardships and endeavors. Lastly, the single's featured choir, gives a harmonious value.
Since emerging in 2010, Durk has always created music with significant messages. His lyrical style is profound, and he often incorporates outstanding melodies into his mix. His impeccable music style was already evident in his highly-regarded mixtape, Life Ain’t No Joke. His titles were often a testament to his experiences as an artist in Chicago. Later, he continued to drop several gems, such as Signed to the Streets and 300 Days 300 Nights.
In 2015, Lil Durk released his debut album, Remember My Name. The album spawned the single “Like Me,” which served as his debut on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs. Durk’s mixtape 300 Days 300 Nights featured an unexpected hit, “My Beyonce,” which debuted on the Hot Rap Songs chart.
Durk continued to drop several chart-performing albums, many of them sequels to his mixtapes like Lil Durk 2x, Signed to the Streets 3, and the career-defining Just Cause Y’all Waited 2. In 2920, he dropped his The Voice, which peaked at number 2 on the Billboard 200, and number 1 on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop and Top Rap Albums charts. The album, which featured three gold-certified singles, “Stay Down,” “Back Door,” and the title track, sold over one million copies in the U.S.
Last year, Durk released another career-defining album, 7220. The record was Durk’s first album to top three Billboard charts, including the Billboard 200. It also went platinum in the U.S. after garnering over one million copies in sales. 7220 released several hits, including the epic collaboration with Morgan Wallen titled “Broadway Girls.”
