The year 2024 was utterly fantastic for Ohio music fans! Top caliber festivals dropped by, world class performers made the place its home for one or multiple nights, and the year was pretty much bombarded with a ton of fantastic spectacles – all thanks to the iconic Blossom Music Center in Cuyahoga Falls! This brilliant venue was more than just THE hangout. It was the monumental destination for top tier performers, mind blowing productions, and the place was packed with music fans from across the state and beyond. The year brought in so many jaw dropping artists – from the hottest rappers to the most in demand country stars. Rock bands and pop stars came in to deliver some stunning throwback ragers, while the most viral solo artists came in to promote their brilliant new albums! It was indeed an eventful 2024 and here’s a recap of the most amazing shows to hit Blossom Music Center!

May

The spring season opened with pop bonanza as Noah Kahan, the new Grammy nominated singer-songwriter, brought his highly awaited We’ll All Be Here Forever Tour. Kahan was on the heels of his ground shattering breakthrough album Stick Season, which soared through the US and international charts. This stunning performer delivered the most amazing gig, covering a setlist packed with over 20 songs! Indeed, fans got the bang for their buck that night and it was the best gig to open the spring season up for remarkable concerts at the Blossom Music Center.

From brilliant pop to a jaw dropping rap rager! 21 Savage came in and blew everyone away with the hottest hip-hop tour of the year. The American Dream Tour had a gargantuan LED display, adrenaline rushing pyro effects, and most of all a top caliber rap artist serving unprecedented southern hip-hop. 21 Savage brought his latest album American Dream centerstage. The album topped the charts in several countries and fans at the Blossom Music Center were insanely lucky to get a showdown of 21 Savage’s sick smashers. Besides 21 Savage, the show also brough rap wunderkind J.I.D. to the stage.

Before the month of May came to a close, the country music rocker Chris Stapletone came to give the best spectacle folks ever saw on this side of town. The All American Road Show was an all star  extravaganza that also featured piping hot performances from Marcus King and The War and Treaty. 

June

June was absolutely banging. That month brought in a heck load of talented artists. World famous bands and global superstars were in town to bring their most thrilling productions. On the very first day of June, alternative rockers Needtobreathe brought in the Caves Tour to the Blossom Music Center. The show also featured a stunning performance from special guests Judah and the Lion. Meanwhile, country becomes alive again this month as multi platinum selling singer Kenny Chesney delivered the Sun Goes Down Tour. The night was fully packed with groundbreaking hits. That night, Chesney’s massive fandom, the No Shoes Nation, was definitely in a frenzy. Speaking of top tier country performers, that same month also saw the arrival of Hank Williams Jr. The brilliant artist was celebrating 45 years of Family Tradition and it better than anyone expected. Of course, with over 50 staggering albums, a ton of awards including a Grammy, and countless hits, the multi instrumentalist served one of the most astounding country gig that venue has ever seen.

Throwback concerts were all the rager in 2024 and O.G. boyband New Kids On The Block brought the house down with the Magic Summer Tour. There’s no denying that this guilty pleasure remains alive after four decades, this boy band’s still got the IT factor. They sang, they danced, and showcased their signature on stage charisma. While we’re on the topic of throwback gigs, Foreigner and Styx delivered the biggest retrospective trip of them all. The co-headliners joined heads for the Renegades and Jukebox Heroes Tour. The show also feature the legendary John Waite as special guest.

June also hosted the magnificent The Show by Niall Horran. The sold out tour brought in the former One Direction member, serving monumental viral hits like “Heaven,” “Meltdown,” “Our Song,” “Slow Hands,” and many more. 

Of course, whenever summer is around, the giant touring powerhouse Dave Matthews Band comes to play. This rock band has been belting out fantastic jams since 1991 and they’re pretty much masters on the stage. So seeing this incredibly talented outfit deliver their biggest production ever was definitely a sight to see. And yes, die hard Dave Matthews Band fans flocked to the Blossom Music Center for this one, making the night a full house. 

July

If July at the Blossom Music Center was a meal, then it would have been a magnificent buffet because that’s what the month was like for music fanatics. The month brought in a ton of various performers. To say that July’s line up was diverse, is an understatement. The month brought in a ton of entertainment, including Third Eye Blind and Yellowcard’s Summer Gods Tour which also featured Arizona. Jazz fanatics also had a blast as Grammy winning singer Norah Jones came into the venue with her Visions Tour. Moreover, classical music was also all the rage this month as the Cleveland Orchestra had three fantastic evenings of heart filling tunes. 

A Yelp user raved about their Fourth of July experience. “This experience is one I hope to do every year! The 4th of July had the Cleveland Orchestra perform at this beautiful outdoor amphitheater!” wrote Kristy B. from Columbus, Ohio. “My son had the best time, and although you can purchase drinks and food , for the live orchestra events you can bring your own wine and food in picnics style to enjoy while watching the music! so nice! I can’t wait to attend another summer concert here at Blossom.” 

If female power is your thing, Alanis Morisette, Joan Jett and the Black Hearts and Morgan Wade joined together on one remarkable evening of rock, alternative and pop. For your sake, we hope you did not miss this one. The month was hella packed and some other notable artists included Sam Hunt, Russell Dickerson, George Birge, Luke Bryan, Train, REO Speedwagon, Chicago, and Earth, Wind and Fire.

August

August was just as packed as the month saw the arrival of a heck ton of world class performers. Almost everyday, something amazing was going on at the Blossom Music Center. The month’s line up was just as diverse as July, actually even more as the venue hosted several unique spectacles, including The Cleveland Orchestra’s Lord of the Rings: Return of the King in Concert, Barbie the Movie in Concert, Kidz Bop Live, and Cirque Dela Symphonie. On top of rare showdowns, the month’s line-up was also packed with music heavyweights, such as Pitbull, Glass Animals, John Legend, Thirty Second To Mars, Hozier, Primus, and Coheed and Cambria. 

But the truly unique of the month award goes to Rob Zombie and Alice Cooper’s Freaks on Parade Tour, which served a shock rock debauchery. The show was all theatrics with headbang worthy hits and crowd stirring anthems. If you wanted to see what a phenomenal metal show looked like, this was definitely the moment. 

September

Even with fall season brimming, the venue continued to deliver massive shows worthy for the record books. For starters, September was the month when 90s rock sensations Stone Temple Pilots and Live arrived at the Blossom Music Center. It was a significant moment for 90s rock kids as the two icons brought out all their thrilling staples. There was a time that the only way you could see these acts in one place was when you were sitting at home watching MTV. Last September 10th, they were sharing the big stage at the Blossom Music Center.

The month also brought in the touring monster, the Outlaw Music Festival. The show featured the legend himself Willie Nelson and the Family. That night the show was packed with three Rock and Roll Hall of Famers, with Bob Dylan and Robert Plant in the line-up. Other phenomenal shows included Avril Lavigne’s Greatest Hits Tour, Parker McCollum’s Burn It Down Tour, Vampire Weekend’s Only God Was Above Us, and Meghan Trainor’s Timelss Tour.

October

It was quite geting chilly but before closing the concert season, Blossom Music Center was sure to go out with a bang. By that we mean, the Grammy nominated multi genre wunderkind, Post Malone. The rapper /singer who recently transitioned to country belted out the hottest track of the summer, “I Had Some Help.” The F-1 Trillion Tour was a fantastic collection of country songs and the rapper turned country star sure nailed it! 

Whatever the show is, the Blossom Music Center was definitely THE destination to go to for music lovers of Ohio. With top quality lights and sound, excellent facilities, and great accommodations. Concert attendees are surefire to have the most amazing time. “The amphitheater is built in a way that most any seat has good visibility. Meanwhile Amy N. from Golden, Colorado hade made it a point to keep coming back. “We’ve always had a great experience at this venue. Staff is very helpful. Clean and easy to get to bathrooms and concessions.”
